Breathscape

Breathscape is a combination of breath and landscape. The installation includes two spherical light sculptures made with motors, PETG, and dichroic film, 8-foot-long strips designed so visitors experience a bodily projection. Two human-sized spherical light sculptures (6.5 feet vertical), named Undulating: Inhale and Exhale, are suspended from the ceiling and revolve slowly at 1 RPM in each corner of the room.

The surface is covered with dichroic film that transforms the PETG into reflecting multiple colors while allowing certain lightwaves to pass through. The reflections and shadows circle the space, touching floor and walls, reconstructing geometric forms and visualizing the interactive experience with landscape, activating marginal space with lights and shadows of revolving sculptures.
